PINC & STEEL is more than just helping people after cancer, it is about giving hope, strength and courage.
The Thames Path stretches 294km (184 miles) along England's longest river. It starts in the beautiful countryside of the Cotswolds and passes through Oxford, the Chilterns, Windsor, Hampton Court, Kew, past the London Eye, along Embankment and past Tower Bridge to Greenwich.
The aim of this event is that all participants work together to complete the full 294km distance during the final weekend of Cancer Rehab Awareness Week (11th to 13th September 2020).
By choosing your distance and route for this challenge we are being as careful as we can to work within the COVID-19 restrictions. This will help us minimise contact with others and the need to use public transport.
This website breaks the route down into smaller chunks to help you plan your contribution: https://www.thames-path.uk/
How do I sign up?
Visit the PINC&STEEL UK Thames Path Relay Challenge Facebook Event and pledge the distance you aim to complete in a post so that a cumulative mileage can be calculated and we can see how close we are getting to our target of completing the full 294km distance.
When you've done this - we will send you a JustGiving Link so you can join our Fundraising Efforts to support people needing cancer rehabilitation.
How do I add my miles to the combined total?
To ensure every mile everyone walks, cycles or runs is included please share a photo of yourself completing your challenge on our PINC&STEEL UK Thames Path Relay Challenge Facebook Event page along with a screenshot of your mileage from your iPhone health app, Google maps, Fitbit, Garmin .. or just an old fashioned written sign. Please also tag pictures to Instagram using the #rehabmatters #CRAW2020
Thank you in advance, taking part in this challenge will help raise awareness and funds for cancer rehab in your area. Together we can be part of the solution. ❤️
